ScrapHappy Pensacola projects

Welp, today's the day:)
I'll be picking up my sister
& 3 nieces this afternoon.
We see each other every summer,
but it's not the same
as if we lived in the same town!!
My brother will also be traveling from KY
this weekend,
& we'll all get-together for dinner
& a group "cousins" picture.

So, this will be my last post for about 2-weeks.
Today I'm showing my July projects for Scrap Happy,
the local scrapbook store in Pensacola.
I got to play w/some new Basic Grey & Cosmo Cricket.
I showed you a couple of the cards in this post,
but here's the rest of them.
I intended to make about 10-cards to fit in this box,
but I'm a bulky card scrapper
& 5 "barely" fit in the box.

I also altered this metal box.
A very simple alter,
intended to be filled with coughdrops
and/or teabags for someone not feeling well.

So off to exercise & finish a few things
before running a few errands
& heading to the airport!!

Keepin' busy

I've been keepin' busy,
though not much to post on the ole' blog:)
I just completed a project for my lss.
I can't show it in it's entirety yet,
but I wanna show 2 cards I made.
I used a sketch for these cards,
that I got from Kristin Swain.
Seems she's celebrating her
one-year anniversary of blogging
& she's celebrating with a sketch
& a give-away.
If you've never visited her blog,
I hope you will.
This chic is extremely talented
& has some awesome projects on her blog.
So, here's 2 cards I made,
loosely using her sketch.
I'd be lieing if I said
one over the other was my favorite.
I like how both of these cards turned out.

I still have more projects to complete,
but I'm actually tired of scrappin' for now.
Gonna spend some time w/my girlies
& enjoy our weekend.

2S4U - Laura 30

Whew I've been busy.
My card class went great
& I ended up w/more ladies than expected.
So we were skurrying at the last minute
to make new kits.
That's always a good thing:)
Then I've been busy
making a custom card kit for someone
& I'm finally finished.
So, here's one of the cards I made,
& I decided to use the current
2 Sketches 4 U - Laura 30 sketch.
I did alter it somewhat,
as you can tell,
by not extending my left column
all the way to the bottom
& I placed my "circle"
in the center instead of to the right,
but I like the end result.

Now that I'm finished with these,
I have some dt projects to get completed
& before I know it,
my sister & 3 nieces will be in town
before we make our 14-hr trek to Kansas!!
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer?
I know we are!!

So Sketchy sponsored by *Ormolu"

My term with So Sketchy has already ended,
but I hope you will visit So Sketchy
& see all the new wonderful designers.
In the meantime,
I'm so excited to show you a couple of cards.
So Sketchy was sponsored by a wonderful etsy *ORMULO*
You have got to check out the awesome stuff in her store.
The pictures don't do her work justice.
Her items have a nice glossy finish
& the colors & graphics are FABULOUS!!
So, here are 2 cards I made,
using 3 of the tags I was sent.
The first uses a rectangle tag & a circle tag.

This 2nd card uses a circle tag.
Sorry for these bad pictures,
but her stuff truly is gorgeous!!

Once again,
I managed to make both these cards
using nothing but scraps from my box:)
I also ordered me a Maya Road warehouse box
& was excited to get NO duplicates of what I already had.
But,
I haven't scrapped all week.
Instead, I've been exercising, reading, watching movies,
playing Wii (I have to beat my bro in bowling:)
& doing puzzles.
I am teaching a card class tonight,
but otherwise,
just hanging with the family.
Hope you're all having a wonderful day!!

Card Patterns 22

Workin' on the Sr. album,
so no time for anything else.
Girls have been enjoying their friends
& I'm thankful they have some of the sweetest!!
Here's my take on Card Patterns #22.
Sweet Carla made the sketch
& she would cringe to know
I've been hoarding these Prima rhinestone flourishes:)
In fact,
I forgot I had them*yikes*
More October Afternoon,
coupled with a Making Memories metal frame
& some Prima flourishes.

I'm really hoping to be done w/the album today.
Then I've got to prepare
for a card class I'm teaching.
Happy Thursday to you all!!

Thanks for visiting!!
