end of a good week!!

It's so easy to let negative get you down,
so I really focused on my blessings today.
The first week of school has come to an end.
Both girls love their teacher
& have enjoyed school!!
It's been a good week.
I'm still battling increativity.
Is that even a word?
I managed to make 2 cards,
using some sketches from CPS.
The first uses last week's CPS #129.
Again I used scraps,
& this one came together fairly quick.

This second card uses this weeks CPS 130
and it didn't come together quickly.
I used a Studio Calico postcard
& cut the dress & girl
from some of their papers.
I relooked at the design teams work
& I'm blown away by the talent.
They made this sketch look so easy.
In the end,
I like how it turned out.

My in-laws took the girls to dinner tonight.
I'm thankful for the much needed break,
so I'm trying to scrap.
It might help if I turned off the tv:)

2S4U

School is going fabulously
for one 4th grader!!
As a parent,
I couldn't be happier.
Ashlyn absolutely LOVES school
so far:)
We're gearing up for tomorrow,
which is Camryn's first day of Kindergarten.
She hasn't been too excited,
but today she wanted to pack her snack!!
I've a feeling a lot of tears will flow,
but I'll make it through
the 2 1/2 hours:)
I can be strong like that!!
In the meantime,
I did manage 2 cards using some 2S4U sketches.
The first uses 2S4U - Laura #33
& the second uses 2S4U - Kazan #33.
I went through my scraps box
& pulled random pieces of scraps
for both of these cards.

I'd like to say I have more stuff to show,
but I haven't been doing anything.
I'm still feeling very unmotivated.
I'm still exercising,
which is a good thing,
but not much else!!
Maybe this weekend will be better!!

1st day of school!!

It's finally here.........
the first day of school!!
I've spent the last week
spending time w/the girls & friends.
Not doing much else,
but trying to enjoy these final days.
Here's Ashlyn sporting a new hairstyle
& a new cheesy grin!!
She did really well this morning,
though I know she wanted to cry.
Currently debating on whether
to go eat lunch with her?

Camryn doesn't start until Thursday.
I already know she's not excited,
but I can't blame her.
I'm not either!!
She wasn't very receptive at her Open House
& isn't excited about orientation tomorrow.
The weather here has been surprisingly gorgeous.
Mid 60's at night & early morning,
breezy & mid-high 80's during the day.
This is so NOT our typical August weather,
but we're soaking it up.
We even had a hummingbird on our back porch yesterday!!
I'm hoping to resume my walking this week!!
I hope everyone else is enjoying their first days of school!!

Card Patterns #28

Only one-week.
One-week
& school starts again!!
I am NOT excited!!
I love having my girls home,
& to be honest,
I really hate homework:)
Ashlyn actually starts on Mon
& Camryn starts on Thursday.
Both are w/friends today,
so I've been cleaning house
& did this card today using
Card Patterns #28.

I haven't been in a scrappy mood,
so I don't have anything else to show.
The weather has still been rainy,
but we're gonna try & make this last week
really great for the girls.

CPS 128

It's been so rainy here.
I actually don't mind though.
When it's not raining,
it's so hot & humid,
I wilt just going outside.
So,
the rain is a good excuse to stay inside:)
Here's my 3rd card using
CPS #128.
I like how this turned out
& hopefully will have someone to give it to.

I've been getting some layouts completed,
though I probably won't upload but a few.
It feels good to be getting something done.
Not sure what today has in store,
but if the weather keeps up,
I'll be indoors again.
Besides,
the swine flu has been spreading
through our area like crazy.
I already know of several friends
whose kids have been infected.
Maybe it's best to keep indoors anyway?

2S4U card to share

Here's the 2nd of 3 I got done on Monday.
I used the current
2 Sketches 4 U - Laura #32 sketch
The talent at this site is incredible,
so if you've never visited,
I hope you will.
I made this for my fil's bday yesterday.
I forgot to take a picture of the inside,
but the entire sentiment reads,
"Remember this Momement 65,
for it will never come again!!"
I can do this w/my fil....
we get along that way!!

I'm running on low today.
Ashlyn had a friend sleep-over,
who didn't sleep well,
so they were up past midnight
& then up at 5:00 this morning!!
I've got a headache,
plus my legs are VERY sore:)
I hadn't done my Wii exercise in 2 1/2 weeks,
my legs are not thanking me today!!

Card Patterns #27

I did end up scrapping yesterday!!
Got 3 cards & 1 layout completed.
I won't upload all the projects today,
as I used sketches for the cards.
I'll start with Card Patterns #27 though
American Crafts paper
with some of K&Co's cute epoxy sticker critters.

Hoping to scrap a little more today,
but William is off today,
plus it's my fils bday!!!

Absolutely, positively,

NO
motivation!!
I can't believe it.
After 3-weeks of no time for me,
I finally have the house to myself.
Girls are w/grandparents
& I can do whatever I want.
WHATEVER!!
Sure,
I need to clean house,
exercise
& shower (definitely),
but I don't feel like any of it.
I don't feel like reading,
doing puzzles,
shopping (this requires a shower:)
scrapping,
napping,
or cleaning house.
I get this way a couple x's a year
& I find myself wondering around the house.
Seriously!!!
Anyway,
I think I am going to attempt to scrap.
I have a bday tomorrow & need a card.
In the meantime,
here's 2 layouts I did before my trip.
This first is of me & my 2 sisters.
The title reads
"3 sisters from the same mister"
Since my parents are divorced,
I have 3 half-siblings
& this is how we commonly refer to ourselves.

This is from our KY 4th of July trip.
Nothing fancy
& you can't even see the Heidi Swapp
acetate stars I stitched to the layout.

So,
I'm going to print off some card sketches
& see how much I get done today.
School starts in 2-weeks
& I'm NOT excited.
I know most parents can't wait for school to start up,
but I'm not one of those parents.
I should homeschool,
but I also realize
that's not my thing either.

the perfect weather

to stay @ home & play catch-up:)
It's been storming all day.
So, I've spent the day
getting a new laptop up & running,
downloading pictures,
doing a jigsaw puzzle,
trying to scrap,
& exercising!!

So here's a few pics of our trip.

So good to be home!!

We're finally home,
trying to get unpacked
& settled back into daily life.
It's a 14 1/2 hour drive
& we drove it straight through.
Talk about tired!!!
