2S4U - Laura's #50 sketch

Happy Monday to you!!
Sorta overcast with peeps of sun,
so I consider that a beautiful day:)
Been trying to find pockets of time to scrap.
This time of year gets kinda hectic
& I'm usually really tired by 9:00!!
So this morning I tackled the current
2 Sketches 4 U - Laura #50 sketch.

Supplies: Crate Paper & chipboard; twine; rhinestones

These next 2 bookmarks have a story.
While in Barnes & Nobles last Sunday,
Ashlyn found a cute kitty bookmark
that she HAD to have,
until I saw the price....................$4.00!!!!!!!
What?
$4.00 for a bookmark?
Dad promptly told her "no"
& then told her mommy would make
a much nicer one for free:)
Gotta love 'em.
So, I used pictures of Macy
from when she was a kitten
& Ashlyn ended up wanting
me to make 2 of them.
So, here they are & she loves them.
I also have 2 layouts
I completed over the weekend.
I'm hoping to make more cards today,
so if I do, I'll upload the layouts then.

In other news,
Ashlyn was chosen out of her class of 17
to compete in her school-wide,
4th-grade speech contest.
I'm proud to say she came in 3rd place!!
We are so proud of her,
NOT because of her placement,
but because she got up in front of ALL
the 4th & 5th grade classes, teachers & parents
& gave her speech!!!
She also brought home straight A's this 9-weeks.
Sooooooooooo........
I'll be doing a layout about her latest "pet." hehehehe

I'm also anxious for tomorrow!!
For whatever reason,
I wanted to give up sugar/sweets for 30-days.
I wanted to see if I could tough it out,
because believe me...........it's been TOUGH!!
Today is officially the last of my 30-days
& we've already made plans for a Marble Slab visit!!
I can NOT wait, but I'm more anxious to hit Starbucks!!!!

Use It Challenge #14

I can't believe
I've managed to do ANOTHER
Use It challenge!!
This week's challenge was to use:
1) pink - ribbon, brad & paper
2) scallops - Fiskar border punch
3) a tag - well....it's a bookmark! Doesn't that count?
Using the cute Imaginisce worm stamp again
& some more yummy My Minds Eye papers.
I'm using the rest of this paper
for a layout about me & my sister:)

And that's all for now.
Just ate a piece of delish chocolate pie,
& I'm gonna scrap a bit more
& then spend time w/the girlies!!

So Sketchy....................

It's amazing how much work I can get done,
when my computer decides to update itself,
AGAIN!!
About 3-weeks ago Microsoft decided to update,
and it took my computer 8-hours to complete the update.
Today, I had to reboot my computer
and it starts another update!!
So, I managed to get some more cards & a layout completed.
Still plugging away at some So Sketchy sketches.
I'm really enjoying the diversity of these sketches.
The following card was made using the Oct #3 sketch.
I found these little monsters in the dollar spot @ Target.
I searched for them after I saw them here.
I just love Danni's work......truly inspiring.

This layout was done using October #4 layout sketch.
I just realized it was supposed to be an 8.5x11,
but I did a 12x12.
These are pictures from this Halloween.
What she doesn't realize............
this was her sister's costume from 3-years ago.
It fit her perfectly,
so I took the other one back to the store.
It's hard to see, but I heat embossed & added glitter
to the chipboard flourishes.

I have 2 other cards I did today,
but I'll post them later tomorrow.
I'm gonna try to make a few more projects
before going to bed!!
