2S4U - Kazan Sketch 52

So in an earlier post I mentioned Nancy,
my Bible Study Fellowship teaching leader,
is leaving after 30+ years of teaching.
I volunteered to make a card
& I made this card.
Half-way through the day,
I really wasn't happy with the card.
I guess I had envisioned something
a little more elegant?
So, I pulled out some Pink Paislee
& used 2 Sketch 4 U - Kazan's #52 sketch.
I'm liking this card MUCH better.

Supplies: Crate Paper; Pink Paislee stamp & fabric trim; Fiskar border punch; flower by Danielle Flanders; Basic Grey letter stickers; rhinestones

I also found out there's another scrapper in the group.
Last week she gave everyone a small kit
& asked us to make a layout of ourselves.
We're giving Nancy an album
that will contain approximately 40 pages
of each lady in the group.
Here's my page:

Supplies: K&Co patterned paper; Prima flower & leaves; Maya Road envelope; American Crafts letters; Fiskar border punch; fabric

Still didn't get Camryn's graduation invites started.
Guess that's what I'll be doing tomorrow!!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Sweet Sunday Sketch #68

I hope everyone had a blessed Mother's Day!!
Mine was spent with family & very relaxing.

And as of Saturday,
it's official we're taking the girls to Disney World!!!
We had our garage sale this weekend,
& raised the money we wanted to pay for the trip.
Soooooooooooooooooooooooo,
we're anxiously awaiting the tickets
so we can surprise them.
Ashlyn's 10th bday is the 25th
& Camryn graduates from kindergarten next week.
So, this will be their gift.
We're so stinkin' excited.
Because of bdays & graduations,
my May is swamped.
Next week is also my last Bible Study Fellowship class
& our teaching leader is retiring after 30+ years.
She will be missed tremendously
& I volunteered to make a card.
I decided to use Sweet Sunday Sketch #68.
This card is bigger than my norm,
but I'm unsure if everyone is going to sign,
so I thought I'd better be safe than sorry.

I've been hording these Crate Paper squares.
My scrapbook store got them as samples
& gave them to me, since they were only 2x2 squares.
I still have graduation invitations to get made,
so hoping to get those done today.
Hope your Monday is going well so far!!

CPS 165

I always find it hard to believe
Mondays come around so quickly.
And once again,
here we are with Monday again!!
Here's a card I made
using CPS 165.
I'm showing 2 versions,
because of one minor detail in each.
I can't decide which I like better?
Any suggestions?

I have no one to give this to,
but I wanted to use some of
these Cosmo Cricket chipboard pieces.
We've got a busy month ahead of us.
Birthdays, Mother's Day, kindergarten graduation,
SanDestin trip & possibly a Disney trip:)
Totally excited about this month,
though I'm sad time is going by so quickly!!
Hope your Monday is blessed
& thanks for stopping by!!

Crazy 4 Challenges #35

Happy Sunday!!
The weather is still gloomy,
so while everyone's been napping,
I've been scrappin'!!
I'm always finding, new to me, sketch sites.
Crazy 4 Challenges is my newest.
For this card, I used the C4C35 sketch.

Look for this card in the October 2010 issue of CARDS

Before you start wondering how this looks like the sketch,
let me explain my process.
The minute I saw the sketch,
I immediately replaced the oval
with this hot air balloon stamp.
I paired with the map paper
& used my "divisions" on the outer edges
instead of down the middle.
Hopefully you can "see" the sketch,
if not,
it was definitely my inspiration for the card.
I did make another card,
but I'll probably save it for tomorrow.
I hope your weekend was great.
I can't believe it's already gone.
I'm sooooo ready for summer!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Sunday Sketch #66 *3rd post*

This might have gone in the records
has the fastest card ever made.
But as Murphy would have it,
he has laws that always apply:)
After my last post,
I remembered my brother's bday
is next Saturday & I need a card.
So, I used Sweet Sunday Sketch #66.
I would have had it finished
in about 5-mins,
but my sewing machine jammed
& I had to finish the stitching by hand.
*geez*
As you can probably guess,
he's turning 39.
The sentiment "just a number,"
is what he says every year.
So I figured it was appropriate.

Supplies: My Minds Eye (zig-zag & polka dot); Crate Paper (blue) & Jillibean Soup (numbers) papers; Basic Grey letters; Cats Eye Dark Brown ink

And this IS my last post today.
Thanks for visiting!!

TESC #111 *2nd post*

Still not getting much accomplished.
At least,
not in the scrapping sense!!
I made a card using the current TESC #111.
When I was finished,
I didn't think anyone would recognize the sketch,
so I made another card (no arm twisting over here:)

Look for this card in the October 2010 issue of CARDS magazine

Supplies: Pink Paislee Queen Bee papers; die; cork; acrylic stamp & brad; Pink Paislee letters

This is just a quick layout I made yesterday.
Hubby showed Ashlyn how to shoot his Red Ryder.
She thought it was fun,
but didn't have too much interest.
Must be a boy thing.

I still have about an hour left
before the family arrives home.
So, I'll see about getting something done.

Happy National Scrapbook Day & 2S4U

Are you scrappin' today?
I'm trying:)
It's so gloomy over here.
The rain has stopped
& the sun was supposed to be out by noon,
but I think someone forgot to tell him:)
So, the girls are with the in-laws
& I'm trying to scrap,
but I keep getting sidetracked!!

I might have several posts today.
So, if you have time in between scrapping,
I hope you'll come back to visit.
First up are a few projects I made
for Scrap Happy,
who is hosting their 2nd annual NSD crop.
I can't remember who makes the background paper,
but I paired with My Minds Eye papers & stickers
& a few sticker accents from Jillibean Soup.

For this gift set,
I used a Cosmo Cricket black box.
The idea is to fill with candy
& then they can put the lid on the underside
& use to store pens, pencils & scissors?
For the card,
I used Kazan's #51 sketch at 2S4U.

Off to get some lunch,
get a few more projects completed
& maybe one more post today!!
Happy Scrappin'!!!

Thanks for visiting!!
