Wednesday rambles

We're finally home from SanDestin.
& I'm desparately trying to get settled.
Me & the girls got there Thursday
with William coming over Saturday night.
I didn't take too many pics,
but thought I'd share a pic from 2006
& one I took this weekend.

Ashlyn turned 9 on Memorial Day,
which is one reason we went out of town.
It's an inexpensive way for us to get out of town,
relax, soak up some sun & enjoy ourselves.
And..........we did just that.
I can't believe my oldest baby is already 9!!
I always take some scrappy stuff with me.
Since we get there before William,
I usually scrap at night
while the girls watch television.
Here are the layouts I got done,
though none are spectacular
& the photos are even blurry.
I'm finding it hard to do layouts anymore,
since I spend so much time on card making.
I'm really going to focus on getting back into
scrapping some layouts this summer.

Friday is the last day of school
but Ashlyn probably won't be going.
She's already at a friend's today
& will probably have a sleep-over.
Her summer is already starting
& I'm so thankful she has friends
she truly enjoys being around.

I also picked up the new EA Fitness Wii thingy.
I started it today & so far so good.
I've already been weight training for 3-months now,
but I've gotten extremely bored
& really need to include some cardio.
So, I'm trying the 30-day routine first
& then will customize my work-outs from there.

So that's all for now.
I have some deadlines to meet,
& new books to read!!
Have a blessed week.

So Sketchy ~ Last card for May

This post was supposed to post on Sunday,
but sometimes I can get Blogger to work
& sometimes I can't:(
Either way,
here's my final card for May.
You can find the original sketch
over at So Sketchy's site.
I cut the shape using my Cricut
then used some Pink Paislee,
which is where the calendar sticker came from too.

And in honor of So Sketchy's 1st birthday,
will be doing a blog hop on June 2nd!!
You can find all the details here!!
There'll be prizes,
so you don't want to miss it!!

Card Patterns #15

Good Morning to everyone!!
Still using this new K&Co
by artist, Carolyn Gavin.
Everything on this card is her's,
except the journaling card & twine.
I used the current Card Patterns #15.
I liked this sketch,
because I rarely layer my papers
& even rarer then that
do I layer "patterns" of paper.

We're in the last weeks of school
& I couldn't be more eager for it to be over.
Today is Camryn's last day,
but she's been running fever since Sunday.
Each day it gets higher,
so she's home with daddy today.
I guess I need to get up to her school
& get her things?
We're headed to SanDestin this weekend.
Ashlyn's birthday is actually on Memorial Day this year.
Her birthday party was a HUGE hit
& we had some tired little girls Saturday night.
Hoping I get to scrap some more this week,
as I'm finally winding down all the things I "need" to do.
Hope you have a great day too!!

2 Sketches 4 U - Laura 26

I FINALLY finished the pages
I had to do for the Sr. album.
I also made some fried rice
for a luncheon I have tomorrow.
So, that means it's play time!!
I love the new sketch @
2 Sketches 4 U by Laura
.
I made 2 cards,
but wasn't pleased with my first one,
until I added the buttons & twine.
Everything you see is Jungle Bungle
except the buttons, twine & alpha stickers.

Since I didn't like my first card,
I made this next card.
I got the idea
when I saw a piece of paper
Ashlyn had thrown in my trash can.
It had this flower, which I hand-cut.
Can you guess which line it comes from?
Anyway, I like how this one turned out,
though I can't get the color to come out good?

Have you seen the exciting news over at 2S4U?
If not, HURRY over,
or visit this post,
or just HURRY over:)
