Though I was hoping to get more done,
I did manage another card.
This will go to one of my sils,
since their birthdays are 1 day apart:)

I did stop by my lss
& picked up some more BG Origins
& some Tattered Angels mists.
Pretty excited to get busy:)

as promised

I finally got some cards made.
Since I haven't been scrapping much,
I've gotten new product
that is sitting around not getting used.
This first card is some of that product.
I received this MME
in one of my CARDS goodie boxes.
LOVE the entire line
& went to work on this first card
& realized it's NOT a bday card:)
The butterflies are rub-ons
that I hand-cut & then stacked.

This card will go to my sis
who is turning 35 on Feb 1st.
I talked w/her yesterday
& she's having major issues with this age?
The red is more of the MME,
but the rest is Cosmo Cricut's Girl Friday.

This will go to my neice,
who is turning 8 January 30th.
I based this card off CPS 149 sketch,
which is from a couple of weeks ago.
I have been wanting to use this bug
for so long & finally dug it back out.

I'm hoping to scrap more today.
I thought my mil was getting the girls,
but seems she's been sick.
I still think I can squeeze some scrapping in tonight.
The weather is beautiful in my parts,
so I'm thinking lots of outdoor activities today!!

just little ole' me

Nothing to show,
but wanted to make a quick post.
I haven't forgotten about the ole blog.
I've already gotten our personal
tax return finished & ready to mail.
YIPPEE!!!
We'll be getting money back,
which is a shock to us,
but we're taking it & running FAST!!!
I've also started my exercise routine again.
Same as last year,
EA Sports Fitness (Wii),
weight training, mixed with
10-min Pilates, yoga & ab videos.
I live in Florida,
so staying in shape for swimsuit season
is a MUST:)
As far as scrapping,
I do have 6 birthdays coming up
in a matter of 2 weeks*yikes*
So, I WILL be making cards
over the next 2-3 days.
I just haven't had time to come upstairs,
even now that my upstairs has thawed out.
So, if you're still around
& not going to CHA this weekend,
check back & hopefully I'll have something
scrappy to share with you.

let's fall in love

I'm trying to get back into the groove of things.
My plate is full,
but there are still so many things
I want to do & know I could be doing.
I just have no motivation.
I haven't submitted to a magazine call
since before Thanksgiving.
In fact, the card below
is the ONLY card I've made this year.
I realize it's only 2-weeks into 2010,
but I'm just not feelin' anything.
I have TONS of ideas swimming
but no motivation to come upstairs & create.
Having said all that,
below is a card I made using some new
K&Co chipboard Valentine pieces.
I bought the pack with the intent
of making 17 cards for my dds class.
Only prob,
I MUST make the cards *duh*
This is the only one I've made:)

The robot is too cute though
& there's more cute creatures in this line.
I couldn't find the matching paper,
except in a huge 12x12 paper pack,
so I'm using some really old SEI.
The border punch is also new.
Wednesday was my bday,
so I used a Michael's giftcard *yippee*
Welp,
my youngest is home sick today,
& my oldest is on her way home,
so time to get back to work!!

baby it's cold outside

I don't care what part
of the US you're located...
it's COLD!!!
My hands are frozen
& so is my computer,
so don't mind me if I'm
going a tad slow for you this morning:)
Because my scrap room is upstairs
& it's run on a separate cool/heat system,
we're trying to keep our power bill down
& I'm not coming up here.
So, not much going on
in the way of creativity.
I did manage 2 layouts last week
& that's about all I can do in the cold!!

It's hard to tell in this photo,
but I did use the Swiss Cheese punch
across the top.
I'm going to journal in the circle,
just can't w/frozen hands!!

In other news,
we got Band Hero the other day
& have had so much fun "jamming out"
& attempting to play guitar & drums.
I'm the only one that likes to play the guitar
over the drums, but it ain't easy!!
William went skydiving last Saturday
& yes he survived!!!
He had a blast & now I want to go:)
My sister also got remarried Friday.
She looked beautiful
& we're so blessed to have Jack in the family.
We also want to take the girls someplace to see snow,
so if you live w/in a 3-5 hr drive of Pensacola, FL,
please lmk if you're getting snow this weekend.
And now I must leave,
I think my fingertips & nose are frost-bitten!!
