2S4U & a little tootie!!

I feel so out of the loop.
I'm up to eyeballs
with gifts, parties
& "other people projects,"
I haven't had time to scrap for ME!!
So, I finally made a card using
the latest 2S4U sketch.
Have you seen their new design team?
WOW!!!
Their work is so inspiring & gorgeous.
I am truly in awe.
So, here's my take on the sketch.
This card is also a project I did
for my local scrapbook store,
Scrap Happy of Pensacola.
I was asked to join her design team
& am thrilled for the opportunity.
I'm just excited we have a store in town.
One where I can actually go & "touch" products.
So, these are new My Minds Eye papers,
coupled with some Karen Foster rub-ons,
plus I used a Bazzill stitching template.

Later I'll be posting some other projects
I completed for Scrap Happy.
In the meantime,
I got another card picked up for the October CARDS,
which also happens to be another 2S4U card!!!
I have pages for a Sr. album to complete
& a 9-year old birthday/slumber party to throw!!
I need to get busy!!

Finally Friday!!

This week has been so busy,
and it's seemed never-ending.
Yesterday I mentioned the wonderful
teacher gifts Danni Reid has been creating.
Here is my take on one that I LOVED!!

So what are your weekend plans?
We have some kids from our church,
trying to raise money to go to Romania,
coming tomorrow to do yard work!!
I'm sooooooooooooooooooo excited!!
This is more of a Father's Day gift,
but in a big way,
it's a Mother's Day gift too,
because it frees hubby up to be w/family!!
And to me that is priceless!!
Otherwise, I'm plodding away at various projects:
4 mini album kits for Ashlyn's bday party sleep-over
& more pages for a Sr. album I've been hired to do.
NEVER AGAIN!!
The lady has been an absolute joy to work with,
but it's time-consuming & well.....
it's just not my album.

I hope every mother out there
has a Blessed, wonderful, loved & happy
Mother's Day.

Teacher Appreciation week

I've been busy this week with Teacher Appreciation
& Mother's Day gifts.
As of Monday,
I didn't even realize it was this week.
Yesterday, the girls took pedicure pails.
I forgot to take a picture,
but they were $1.00 pails from Target,
in Springy colors,
filled w/$1.00 manicure sets, nail polish & foot creme.
For a cost of $4.00 a pail.
I made & tied a cute tag to each pail.
Tomorrow, they will take these cute treats.
Danni is so talented
& has had the best teacher gift ideas all week.
Since my youngest goes to a Christian school
& I know my oldest's teacher is a Christian,
I loved this idea for them.
I will add a Thank You card that says,
"Thank you for being fishers of children."
I realize this is not Biblically correct,
but I know they will understand.
Below are a few more layouts.
I actually did these awhile back,
but forgot all about them.

I still have bday invites to get made
for Ashlyn's 9th bday next weekend.
I've been feeling really, really tired this week,
so I'm looking forward to this weekend.
Do you have any wonderful Mother's Day plans?
Depending on the weather,
we might hit the beach after church,
but I haven't decided yet.
It's something I love to do,
but since it's so hot,
hubby & girls don't share my enthusiasm:)
I hope your day is blessed!!

So Sketchy May card

I can't believe it's already May.
Seems like just yesterday
I was posting my first April card
for So Sketchy!!
So, here's my first one for May.
A semi-circular card
that I paired w/new Cosmo Cricket chipboard
& older American Crafts papers.
They match perfectly.
The baseball is even older than the AC.
Some of you might remember years ago
a company made all those cute kids
with matching accessories & borders?
This one was baseball on one side,
golf on the other.
I can't remember the name of the company,
but I still have this border hanging around.
So, I put it to use.

I'll have 2 more cards this month.
And I loved all the sketches.
I'm hoping to get some scrapping done
in the next couple of days.
At the very least,
some new Teacher Appreciation gifts?
If not, I hope your week is blessed!

NSD hangover?

Hehehehehe
I don't really have one,
but thought some of you might?
How was your National Scrapbook Day weekend?
If you got to participate, somewhere, anywhere,
I hope it was productive & FUN!!
I taught a class & make-n-take
at my lss & enjoyed myself completely.
I also got a few layouts completed.
I'm actually surprised I got this many done,
because I didn't even try to get anything done,
it just kinda happened? (is that possible in the scrapping world?)
I finally got Sassafras's Jungle Bungle in
& it's the cutest stuff, plus I love the colors.
These first 2 were inspired by the incredible Danni Reid.

These others are just miscellaneous layouts.
I need to do journaling on the boots & spider layouts,
but otherwise they're finished.

Then, as I was shopping for Ashlyn's bday party (in 2-weeks)
I ran into a friend who reminded me this week is
Teacher Appreciation Week!!
How could I forget this?
I have 3 teachers to remember?
Luckily Ashlyn's school sent home a list of ideas
with popcorn being Tuesday's idea.
So, I quickly threw these together for teachers.

And latestly, I want to give a HUGE shout-out
to the new 2S4U Summer Design Team.
Have you checked them out yet?
Whoa..........serious talent.
I've already visited their blogs
& will be stalking weekly!!
I'll continued to do the weekly challenges,
as time permits, but I might be scarce this month!!
Hope you have a wonderful week!!

Thanks for visiting!!
