Sketch This #43

Thursdays are like Fridays to me. I spend most of Tuesday - Thursday away from home & definitely not in my scraproom. So, I sometimes stay up late on Thursdays because I know Friday is an "off-day" for me.

Did ya notice my new music thingy I added? I didn't add to many songs...........it's not like someone is going to come to my blog just to listen to music, but it's there for the listening:)

I did do the current sketch over at Sketch This and it's a really fun one. Though my layout looks simple enough, I had the darndest time coming up with a good color. I surprised myself by using mostly cardstock, something I haven't done in a while. I remember a time when I ALWAYS used a cardstock base. Now my cardstock is all alone with noone to play with. The papers are all Collage Press. I don't think I threw away any of my teeny tiny scraps......totally love these papers.

This second layout is nothing great by any ole' means. In fact, I used some very, very old American Crafts paper. But that's just the point.............I used it (so I have to show it)!!! In fact, I managed to use quite a bit of American Crafts products on this layout. Most of the embellies are AC, except the sheer journaling circle (Maya Road), paper frills (Doodlebug), large brad (Paper Studio) & the cardstock stickers (7Gypsies).

So what's in store for your weekend? Going to CHA? Scrapping? Not sure here, but hoping to get some scrapping done.

Pencil Lines 70 & CPS #50

I'm always amazed when I get several things accomplished in one day. Not sure what to attribute this to, so I won't even try.

I did manage Pencil Lines sketch #70 and CPS Sketch #50, and here they are. These pictures are from a 2005 trip to Kentucky to visit with my brother, wife & neice. We go up, at least, once a year & LOVE it up there.

This is CPS Sketch #50. The idea for this card came while I was making dinner. Hmmmmm....I guess that's what roast beef does to the mind:)

This one came last night, after I went to bed. I just used the scraps from my Pencil Lines layout.

So, I'm off to see if I can get anything else done tonight!! TFL!

Gooooooooooooooooooooo GIANTS!!!!

Woohoo.............what a game!! Loved every minute of it. I love games like this....ones that are not strong-handed by one team, but a game where both teams play equally well, with equal mistakes & sadly one team goes home without the tropy. I really did hate it for the Pats............they went all season without a lose until now. That does truly have to suck and I'm sincere when I say that.

In the meantime, I was tagged by my good friend Amanda. She's such a sweetie & oh so talented lady. Check her out if you get the chance.

Rules:

1. You have to post the rules before you give your answers.
2. You must list one fact about yourself beginning with each letter of your middle name. (If you don't have a middle name, use your maiden name).
3. After you are tagged, you need to update your blog with your middle name and your answers.
4. At the end of your blog post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and that they need to read your blog for details).

Middle name is Barbee. It's actually my maiden name that I moved to my middle name because I love it so much. Besides, my middle name is way too long:)

B - brunette..........yep, it's the truth
A - Anal
R - Retentive (ha.......killed 2 at one time:)
B - bossy....or so I've been told
E - Empathetic
E - easy-going I am NOT:) I tend to be more uptight, but I'm workin' on it

So, with that I would tag someone else, BUT, most of the friend blogs I read have already played this little game, so the buck stops here.

I hope you all have a wonderfully blessed Monday & I'm hoping to have more stuff to show later this week.

Who's Super Bowling it?

Me me me me!!!!! Having family over for a get-together, complete with fatty foods & fun. Doesn't get much better then that.

Soooooooooooooooooo, to get ready, I planned wisely:) Did a little house-cleaning last night & then my mother-in-law came & got the girls today. She took them to see the new "Hanna Tanna" movie, as Camryn calls her. I quickly finished my house-cleaning & then spent most of the afternoon scrapping, in between loads of laundry. I got some new Making Memories & Collage Press papers, not to mention all the yummy Deja Views embellies.

Still experimenting with my new camera lense. Went outside to take pics of my layouts today & some of them looked washed out, so it must have been too much direct sunlight. So, some of these pics aren't the best.

This first one is the left 1/2 of the latest Pencil Lines Sketch #69. I scanned this layout & took pictures outside & both look equally horrible. Due to the lumpiness of the embellies, this was the best I could get for now. The pink scalloped journaling paper on the right is for jouraling. Want to get my in-laws own words. It looks crooked, but it's not. I purposely stitched crooked....don't know why?

This layout used Sketch This #41. Once again the colors look horrible.

I did not use any sketches on this last one. I can sometimes manage a good one on my own:) I used Making Memories new Chelsea's Place papers. The red is hand-cut it's velvet & very very pretty stuff.

TFL & I hope you have a great Sunday.............GO GIANTS!!!

Thanks for visiting!!
